Submit your outline online using the new pt(outline* tool

The new pt(outline* tool simplifies the creation and submission of an outline. This tool brings together all steps of the outlining process, from creation through to assessment. Thus it's all the more important that every interested party uses the tool, so the documents submitted can be processed quickly.

You can use the pt(outline* tool to create your project outline. Once created, you can edit and expand the outline anywhere and at any time up until the closing date for the call for proposals. Access is password-protected and the Internet connection is SSL-encrypted so as to meet the requirements for data protection and confidentiality. Please note that in order to submit your outline you must agree to the electronic processing of your data. The data protection statement together with the website details (publisher etc.) can be accessed by clicking on the "Impressum" button.

When assembling your submission please observe the following points:

• Enter your project-specific data in the designated fields on the form and upload a project description as a file. Your project outline consists of two parts: data and project description.
• When you have entered all your data, make the final, binding submission of your project outline by clicking on "Kontrolle und Abgabe". The final version is then displayed; please print out both parts.
• Due to the regulations governing administrative procedures, in order for us to be able to consider your application in the further selection process a printed copy of each of the final versions, signed by the project manager/coordinator, must reach the specified address, by post, by the cut-off date.

Applications can only be accepted in this form, i.e. the combination of the online form and the postal submission of the project outline that was submitted online and printed out after submission. Submissions by e-mail or fax will not be considered.

Only one submission is allowed for each research project - application is on a per-project not a per-partner basis and is made by the project manager/coordinator.

Information for outline submission

• You can use your access to the system to create further, new outlines in addition to your existing one and then submit these separately.

• To avoid misuse of data, a session will be terminated after 120 minutes of inactivity. For this reason you should save your input frequently, or log out if you will not be making any entry for an extended period. The system terminates the session automatically after 120 minutes. The following message is displayed on the screen: "Aufgrund von langer Inaktivität wurde Ihre Sitzung sicherheitshalber beendet. Zum Login.". In this situation you need to log in again.
• Aany one time only one person may be logged in with your user credentials. Two people cannot work simultaneously with a single user credentials. Simultaneous access to the tool could lead to problems such as data loss and inconsistency.
• If, after clicking on the "Eintragen/Ändern" button, the message "Diese Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden" is shown, this is an error message from your browser and is due to a bug in Internet Explorer. Your best course of action is to switch to an alternative browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera 9.x. If you are using Internet Explorer, it may help in this case to switch from encrypted connection (https://...), which is normally the default setting, to unencrypted connection (http://...).
